Ellen Vene

We are thrilled to announce our new residency artist Ellen Vene at roam project space!

Ellen Vene (b. 1990) is an artist, cultural organizer and radio host based in Tallinn, Estonia. She has studied sculpture and installation art in the Estonian Academy of Arts and Die Angewandte in Vienna and holds an MA degree in art practice. Her various practices combine image, sound and storytelling, often reflecting on her immediate surroundings, everyday life and the social structures within. Lived experiences are translated into poetical narratives in the form of installations that generally involve the whole space. Her works have been presented at Contemporary Art Museum of Estonia (EKKM), NU Performance Festival, Intonal Festival, and Gallery Mihhail in Tallinn among others.

The residency programme at roam has a focus on East European artists and is taking place during the highlights of Berlin’s art year.
